A powerful search tool at your disposal

The search engine used by the Help InfoCert site allows you to find the information you are looking for using different methods.

The first is certainly represented by the free text search or full-text search, which allows you to enter one or more words in the search bar that define your information need. The engine will locate text documents that contain all or only a subset of the terms and will list the results for you.

The second is represented by the advanced search or query search, which allows you to logically link together the words that define your information need. In this case you will be prompted to use conventional characters (so-called Boolean operators).

  • The +
    word+text
character will allow you to obtain documents that simultaneously contain the words being searched.
  • The |
    word | text
character will allow you to obtain documents that contain at least one of the words being searched.
  • The -
    word -text
character will allow you to get documents that contain the first word and to exclude those that contain the second word being searched.
  • The *
    par*
character will allow you to get documents that contain all words starting with the indicated characters.
  • The “ ”
    word text
character will allow you to obtain documents that contain all the words indicated, exactly in the prefixed order.
  • The ( )
    word+(text1 | text2)
character will allow you to indicate a priority when searching for words within a document.
